There are several options, which we will detail below, but first let's set the scene!

El Torcal de Antequera is a unique natural landscape located just 15 kilometers from Antequera.

If you come by car from Antequera (Granada, Córdoba, or Seville) on the A7075, you will enjoy beautiful mountain scenery and in 20 minutes (at most) you will have reached your destination: the Torcal Alto Visitor Center. From here you can start one of the two public trails: the green trail or the yellow trail. You can also enjoy a good meal in a spectacular location!

If you are coming from Malaga, you can take a very scenic route without going through Antequera. Just exit the highway at Casabermeja and drive to Villanueva de la Concepción, a small white village at the foot of El Torcal. From Villa del Torcal, it is only 6 kilometers to your destination. It takes the same amount of time, or even less, than coming via Antequera.

The problem arises when you travel without a car (public transportation does not go to El Torcal)… But there is a solution for everything!

This option is very convenient but limiting, as taxis usually only stay for an hour in El Torcal. And an hour isn't enough time to visit El Torcal properly!
