What to do in Antequera?

Many things! Antequera is located in the center of Andalusia and has therefore been a strategic point for the settlement of various civilizations for thousands of years.

Visit the Dolmens of Antequera

It's a must-see if you're visiting Antequera. Throughout the tour, you'll wonder how they managed to build these megaliths. Menga, Viera, and El Romeral… World Heritage Site since 2016.

Take a stroll through the Monumental Complex

And contemplate the façade of the Royal Collegiate Church of Santa María la Mayor, peek into the Roman Baths, enter the Alcazaba and whisper "May the sun rise over Antequera" or look out from the Mirador de las Almenillas viewpoint and think of those poor lovers who threw themselves into the void from the Peña de los Enamorados

Visit the Church of Carmen

A 16th-century Mudejar-style building with an impressive Baroque altarpiece, it overlooks the Río la Villa river behind it and invites you to relax. Be sure to take a look down Callejón de la Piscina and enjoy the magnificent views of El Torcal, the Collegiate Church, and the Alcazaba.
